Air France-KLM passenger numbers increase

Air France-KLM carried 5.051 million passengers in February, 5.7% more than the 4,779 million it carried in February 2010.
Capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASKs), rose by 5.1% while demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs), increased by 4.9%.
Air France-KLM’s short-haul traffic, including its French domestic network, showed an increase in demand of 8.8% while capacity rose only 4.3% over that in February 2010.
On the long-haul networks to the Americas and Asia, however, capacity rose by more than demand.
Load factor for the AF-KLM network was virtually unchanged year on year at 77.6% in February 2011 in comparison with 77.7% in the previous year.
