Choice Hotels has promoted Mark Weiner to head its global sales division. Weiner has been the company’s vice president of customer care and reservations for which he also retains responsibility.

In his role as vice president of global sales and customer care, Weiner will lead the company’s worldwide sales efforts.

Weiner joined Choice in 2006, having been vice president of sales and customer care for Travelocity. He had previously worked for 16 years in a variety of roles with Sabre Holdings and AMR, the parent company of American Airlines.
